Garden

Z is half English, and I have always hated lawns and lawncare.  It only made sense to turn our drab, high-maintenance lawn into an English garden.

Slowly but surely, we're killing the lawn in favor of more colourful species.

The biggest thing we've done so far with it is to tear up and mulch about 25% of the lawn in one go, using a sod cutter.  It took a couple of weekends (one to cut/roll/move the sod, one more to finish the mulching)

We have since learned about Lasagne Gardening.  I don't think we'll ever have to rent a sod cutter again.  Laying cardboard and organic matter on top of the grass to smother it is SO MUCH easier.
